"The First to Die is absolutly amazing. The album has tons of melody but always keeps it heavy. Most of the songs are done in a mid pace but it definatly picks up from time to time, so between all the songs you cover alot of tempos. The vocals switch from the black metal screech to the death metal growl and even venture into the spoken word at times. There is a feel of epic and grandeur throughout the album and that never lets up until the final song of the album "Carnival of Souls" which begins with an incredibly creepy intro takin from the movie of the same name. The change is great because it only adds to the atmosphere of this album. If you like metal, you will find something you like on this album, with all the deversity, it would be impossible not to. I could not find a single thing that I did not like, and this album quickly became one of my favorites. Do yourself a favor and do not pass this up. Its a limited album too so get your while you can. 10/10....it does not get better than this"
