To see Dear and Glorious Physician is to encounter a violent young art form. It's all kunst, all cream, and all kick. Essentially, it's an all out, emotional, and intellectual, garage-band assault.
Somewhere between the art-rock sounds of New York in the late 70's and the grunge sounds of Seattle in the 90's, Dear and Glorious Physician have built a home for themselves, and started in to work. The band consists of four blonde siblings (the Westfalls) from Gainesville, Florida: two brothers and two sisters.
The brothers, Charles and Andrew, as singer/guitar and drums respectively, began collaborating seriously in the summer of 2002 and after several permutations, additions and subtractions, the band took on it's ultimate shape in the spring of 2005. The goal has been the same throughout, in the music and in the way it is performed; emotional impact.
