Synopsis

Product Description
This debut release by Davis Coen recorded while still in his teens and produced by folk-music legend Eric Von Schmidt, whose rendition of "Baby, Let Me Follow You Down" was recorded by Bob Dylan on his 1962 Columbia debut self-titled release. Von Schmidt, a grammy winner for album liner notes, scripted those also for "Cyin' the Blues" and designed the cover- as well as played harmonica on two tracks.

The album includes a selection of acoustic blues-roots styles ranging from traditional folk-blues by the likes of country blues legends such as Blind Lemon Jefferson and Son House, to the much more folkish Americana-flavored early Coen originals, such as "Long Lost Friend" (included in the 1999 movie "Fresh Cut Grass" which was featured on Showtime Channel) and the introspective ballad "Trouble in My Mind".
