Synopsis

Album Description
Bearing an immediate resemblance to Marc Bolan and David Bowie, deeper listening rewards the listener with a much broader musical universe. Self-taught on guitar, drums, bass, piano, synth, and other studio tools, Vandervelde is an adventurous artist, one who embraces classic rock songwriting and whose spirit is just banging at the door to get unleashed. Music to party and make love to is back.

CD Reviews

The Moonstation House Band

"The Moonstation House Band

David Vandervelde has a live show that is second to none and has proven himself in the studio as well with this excellent album. The songs have a timeless feeling to them and bring to mind some of the lesser known artists of the late 60's and early 70's who mixed their fluid prose with strong musical dynamics. A+"
"Nothing No" is one of the best songs of 2007

"In 2007, well known indie bands that have released subsequent albums have let us down. Where did the experimentation or energy of Wilco, BRMC, Artic Monkeys, CYHSY, etc. go? I am shocked that no one else has rated this album yet. 5 stars may be too gracious and yet in comparison to so many releases thus far in 2007, this album stands out. So go buy it, download it, whatever, and spread the word because there is a great new/old sound to this album."
One hell of a singer-songwriter-musician
