For the faint of heart.

"obviously not for everyone (applicable to anything), the complete guide to insufficiency is freakishly amazing. on the level, youre going to hear antony and the johnsons upon first listen. dont worry, it'll subside as you revel in the lack of antony trills and melodramatic swells. broughton does something perfect. he says little, loops more, and lets things be. pure. its simple, a bit demented("i wouldnt take her to an execution, i wouldnt take her to a live sex show. i wouldnt piss or s*** on her, would i? casue i love her so."), raw (sorry, i hate the use of that musical term, too, but it just applies), and conducive of emotion without being 'emotional'. when i first bought the album i listened to it continuously for days. and it got in me. it didnt get stuck in my head per se, like a bounty commercial, it got into me. by this i mean i felt like i was living my life to its soundtrack no matter where i went. like the way you feel when you go roller skating all day and try to fall asleep at night with the sensation of gliding around."
