A Promising New Artist

""To My Love" is the debut album of David London for Real Music.Although he is only twenty two, he is a musician and composer par excellence. He is an invaluable addition to Real Music's list of artists, as his presentations fit in perfectly with the type music they offer;melodic, restful, dreamy. His conpositions were inspired over a two year period and represent the beginning and ending of his first true love affair. His solo piano is backed by synclavier, bass, soprano sax, flute and acoustic guitar, making the perfect blend of sound. His talent is so prodigious for one so young, that his future holds significant promise for even further growth. This is a marvelous first album and one that will not disappoint."
I Want MORE!!

"Only three reviews of this CD so far--and all of those, written in 2001! Here it is, 2005 (nearly 2006!), some four years later, and I'm writing only the 4th review---WHY??? This CD is AMAZING!! I definitely want to hear MORE from this artist! I happened upon this CD in a random search for artists similar to Yanni (my favorite musician). Indeed, David London's CD "To My Love" resembles Yanni's music, and because of that, I immediately was hooked on this CD. As another reviewer mentioned, I actually DID jump for joy for the Yanni influence on this CD. It is Yanni's older music that I most enjoy (and miss), and to reiterate that reviewer's comments, while David London is "no copy-cat", the Yanni style and influence heard on this CD is a real treat to any Yanni fans. Still, David London has created an amazing CD in his own right, with some of the most beautiful music I've ever heard! My personal favorite is "Capture the Moment", but there is not a single song on the entire CD that I don't love! (I don't think I can say that about any other CD I own---even those by Yanni!)

Whether you're a Yanni fan, or just searching for beautiful music filled with emotion and expression, this is the CD you have been searching for. Guaranteed, you WON'T be disappointed!! If I could give it more than only 5 stars, I would!!!"

"Fans of Yanni's piano-based music should jump for joy at the release of David London's debut CD, "To My Love". London is definitely not a copy-cat, but I would guess that he has listened to Yanni's recordings many times and has been strongly influenced by his style and instrumentation. I love a lot of Yanni's music - especially his older work - so I really enjoy this CD. Smooth and soothing from start to finish, this is a romantic recording through and through. London is only 22, and got his start by recording music for his father to play in his clothing store in Denver. He is a natural for the Real Music label, which specializes in warm, optimistic music without many hard edges. All of the songs on "To My Love" have a mellow flow to them, and all are seamless and polished. This is a keyboard album rather than piano, and many other sounds accompany the "piano" (which sounds like a high-quality synth). Titles include "Capture the Moment", "Now and Forever", "Our First Kiss", and "A Love Story". My favorite is "Against the Wind", which has a little more bite than the other tracks - and also probably sounds the most like Yanni.Warm and inviting, this is the perfect CD for a candle-light dinner or for sipping wine by the fire. It will be fun to see how David London evolves as a musician, as he is off to a most impressive start!"
