This collection brings together the first three singles Bowie recorded for the Pye label in 1966 before recording his first album on Decca the following year. The songs themselves are a million miles from both Bowie's first hit, the spacy 1969 folk-rocker "Space Oddity" and those from his self-titled Donovan-meets-Anthony Newley debut album. The six tunes contained here are a mixture of American R&B-influenced Mod Soul and swinging-London Pop.
