David Bavas was born in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains of Pennsylvania and moved to Seattle, Washington in 1996. Like many bedroom singer/songwriters, Bavas acquired a four track and began recording songs in his studio apartment and eventually started making demo CD's for his friends. David played his first show at the Jewel Box Theater in Seattle on May 13th, 2004 as a solo act whose influences include Chan Marshall, Will Oldham, and Richard Buckner. Bavas currently has finished recording a full-length album after enlisting local musicians and friends to provide the accompaniments for his one time solo home recordings.
