CD Reviews

Simply Captivating
Brie | Alabama | 11/28/2007
(5 out of 5 stars)

"When I learned that Kathy Fisher (of the pop duo "Fisher" and songstress of many a commercial you've probably heard) planned to do a Celtic CD, I was intrigued, not knowing quite what to expect. I could not be happier with this CD and lack the adjectives to describe it. Captivating, breathtaking. Kathy's voice is perfectly suited to this genre and I can only hope that works such as this will expose more listeners to the range of her extensive talents.

If you like her voice on this CD, you can search for Fisher's other works sold on amazon and all over the web (True North, Uppers & Downers, The Lovely Years, One). I've been a fan of Kathy and her hubby, Ron, for years and am happy to share my kudos on this latest venture.

Beware - remakes

"Being a fan of DA, I ordered this prior to it being released. I was disappointed to find that it's just a set of uninspiring remakes."
A cover-laden snooze fest.

"What a disappointment! If I could return it I would. This CD is full of many badly done covers and a scant few truly "listenable" tunes. I sure wish I'd checked out the previews, but I love Arkenstone and I love Celtic music, so I figured this was a sure thing. Boy, was I wrong! The best thing I can say about this is, it doesn't TOTALLY suck, which is why I gave it 2 stars instead of 1."
