"Dave Mason is an under rated guitarist, singer and songwriter. He was an original member of Traffic and appeared on the first 3 albums (but was uncredited on the second one), appeared as a guest with a number of musicians, and once was a member of Fleetwood Mac in the nineties for one very bad album. This is a cheapy "best of" collection, that doesn't even have all of his most popular material (Feelin' Alright). It mostly focuses on softer love songs with one exception (All Along the Watchtower). He really only had one hit with We Just Disagree. As with any best of album, this is mostly least common denominator stuff, which tends to be the blandest material. The worst song is his greatest hit. But, there are still some fairly good songs and good guitar playing. Unbelievable as it may sound, his version of All Along the Watchtower comes close to matching the greatness of Jimi Hendrix's version. This is not Dave Mason's best or even Dave Mason's best greatest hits CD. But at $7, it is a good introduction."
