Synopsis

Product Description
Danny Tate is back on the scene with a full-length recording that outdoes all of his previous releases combined! Destination X represents the culmination of his musical and lyrical vision. Tate proclaims, ?This is by far the best record I?ve made. I actually like listening to it.? The listener will learn a lot about the writer with his struggles between the spirit and the flesh. This will be the first in a chronicle of recordings that will carry the listener along Tate?s pilgrimage? "Danny Tate is a radio friendly Shoe-in for us here at WKZE! If I were to receive a record from Danny and a record from Dave Matthews, Dave's would be gathering dust as we kept Danny's in heavy rotation!" ~ Tim Schaefer, Music Director WKZE. DANNY TATE/Destination X Writer: Danny Tate; Producer: Danny Tate; Publisher: Come On In, BMI; NoVille (track) (www.dannytate.com) ?Pop/rock vet Danny Tate broke out as the writer of the 1983 Rick Springfield smash ?Affair of the Heart.? He also has cuts by Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Smithereens, The Fabulous Thunderbirds and several contemporary country stars. He has several solo CDs, the latest of which features this atmospheric, lushly melodic and echoey title track. In general, Tate?s latest tempers his pop/rock style with a lot of rootsy Americana touches. Everything this charismatic, dramatically raspy singer-songwriter does is worth owning, so seek this out. ~ Bob Oermann/Music Row Magazine

CD Reviews

A Long Journey Home
Shari L. Terry | San Antonio, TX United States | 10/20/2006
(5 out of 5 stars)

"I wouldn't say I know Danny personally, but I have had the pleasure of talking on a personal level with him more than a time or two over the past 11 years. Having been a big fan of his music, I found this project a heart and soul journey that is intensely personal. I recommend this cd to anyone who has enrolled in the school of hard knocks and graduated with honors. Highly introspective lyrics and always easy to listen to music makes this cd a must have.

Glad to have you back, Danny!"
