Quiet Night - subtitled "Sound for Touch" is an ambient recording that features ethnic flutes (quena, bamboo transverse flutes, whistle flutes, etc.) that, like the title suggests, would make a good background soundscape for massage - or perhaps just good evening music to relax by. Ethereal electronics combined with organic flute textures make this a fine "chill-out" soundtrack. Originally released as a cassette-only album in 1993, Quiet Night is the first in a series of flute-based instrumental concepts from Daniel Crommie - the 2007 "The Last Thing I Remember" being the most recent.
