CD Reviews

Need More Dakota Moon!
J. C. Payne | Little Rock, AR USA | 08/04/2002
(4 out of 5 stars)

"Just like their first album, "Dakota Moon," "A Place To Land" is a showcase of talent for a band that's broad to categorize and doesn't have enough radio friendly hits. But in both cases, I was amazed by the musical and songwriting ability of this quartet. No personal disappointment, except for knowing that bands that don't follow a standard don't get the same play as others, and never really get a fair shot at true popularity."
AN AMAZING NEW ALBUM!!

"I have been a Dakota Moon fan since 1998 when their first album, "Dakota Moon" was released, and have followed the band around and caught many of their live shows (which ROCK!). I bought the new album, "A Place To Land" today at Tower Records in LA and I was completely blown away--even after just one listen--and felt compelled to write this review. The album captures every side of this amazingly talented group of guys -- acoustic, soul, out & out rock and pop hooks that won't quit. Most impressively, the tracks "Don't Give Up On Me," "Lonely Days" and "Let Me Have It" capture their live performance perfectly!! I just cannot believe that this album is finally here and I get to hear their music all the time now. Buy this album and I promise you will not be disappointed."
Worth the wait
Jo Tinsley | Oswestry,, Shropshire. United Kingdom | 04/04/2002

"This second album by Dakota Moon is every bit as good as the first, and well worth the long wait for it to be released. As before, the album is a good mix of different sounds like slick ballads, smooth grooves and stomping tracks."
