Now That's What I Call Music!!!

(5 out of 5 stars)

"D.C.Cooper was the lead singer for the very talented Danish Progressive Rock/Metal band, Royal Hunt until 1998.In the four years Cooper was with R.H. they made two smash albums, Moving Target, which I've reviewed and Paradox. Many R.H. fans think Paradox is best. I happen to think Moving Target is perfect.

In 1998 Cooper and Royal Hunt parted ways. The official line is the euphemistic artistic differences. It seems D.C. wanted to pursue a solo career. This album entitled simply D.C. Cooper is the culmination of that solo career. He has since formed the band Silent Force. D.C. Cooper must have learned a few things while with Royal Hunt, because this album sounds a lot like them and that ain't bad! I like this album a lot. It is a top notch album that should be but isn't a hit. There are at least five five star songs and all songs but one are at least four stars. The music, for lack of a proper description, is melodic/progressive rock with broad appeal. D.C. Cooper, as you might imagine, has a very powerful and pleasant voice Conclusion Well if you are of the buy American persuasion, this may be for you. This album combines great songs with great music. I can see where this album could and should appeal to fans of all ranges of music from Pop Rock to Heavy Metal to Progressive Rock."
