Synopsis

Album Description
From exciting French music composer and producer, Cyril Morin comes Western Pansori-a record distinct and eclectic; an orchestral cinematic sound energized with ethereal electronic beats and mixes. The tonal and spacial quality of Western Pansori does to the open mind what classical music does to the heart, but with the evolved, tasteful use of an electronic backbone and music programming.

CD Reviews

Sound track in search of a movie...
W. Costa | Durham, NH USA | 10/19/2005
(4 out of 5 stars)

"If you like slick Hollywood sound tracks for recent spy films, psychological thrillers, mysteries, etc., you might very well enjoy most of this CD. It's not the usual sort of music you hear outside of those venues with the large orchestra combined with electronic instruments, effects, and background sounds."
Like "Cirque Du Soleil" music
Manny Hernandez | Bay Area, CA | 12/20/2005
(4 out of 5 stars)

"I discovered Cyril Morin by accident, since a couple of the tracks in this album were found in a compilation of meditation music. Those tracks aside, I would categorize this album as being very close to the sound you'd expect to hear at a Cirque Du Soleil function: orchestrated (like a score to a movie, indeed), yet possessing that ethnic appeal and choruses that have made that French circus show legendary around the world. Highly enjoyable, though it does loose some of its steam at times. All in all, four stars."
