Sean Purcell s Cuddly Toys, who produced the unashamedly glam Guillotine Theatre debut album, by 1982 had been replaced by a new, contemporary-sounding line-up. Glam influences had also inspired the New Romantic movement, so Sean s sound and vision were now more in sync with the times. Cuddly Toys had evolved out of the punk band Raped, and were hated by the press; but are now acknowledged in retrospect. The first time on CD for Trials & Crosses and the full Someone s Crying EP, plus 13 previously unheard songs make up this double-CD. Includes 12-page booklet.
