Synopsis

Album Description
PLANET DANCER, the second CD from singer-songwriter Craig Silver, features more of his patented 'folksongs from space'?interstellar creations like "Have You Seen The World?", "In The Time of War" and "Kingdom Come." The CD also offers up more of Silver?s songs of social and political satire?demonstrating why Billboard magazine has compared him with renowned ?60s folksinger Phil Ochs. Among these are "Love, Sex and Madness," "Gasoline is the Heroin of America" and "Rich Man, Poor Man." Also included is Silver?s song about Sept. 11, "How Do You Tell The Children?", which was presented on a special edition of Bob Sherman?s folk radio show "Woody?s Children," on New York?s WFUV. An interesting aspect of the song: it concludes with a quote from The Koran. PLANET DANCER was produced by Nick Holmes, who in a career spanning over 30 years has contributed to albums by such music luminaries as Jerry Jeff Walker, Carly Simon and Bette Midler.
