Truly Brilliant!!

"Once in a while a work of genius comes along. This is one. Composed as an entire piece, it is neither hurried nor underdeveloped. Brilliant in it's simplicity, it stands alone as a classic in this genre. This is the way that works should be composed - with a concept and simple idea and a total involvement in the piece. I have played this cd almost every night for several months before going to bed and I now know it intimately. It now ranks as my all-time favorite ambient cd, and until something else comes along, it will remain there. So far nothing has, and I am very selective."
Frozen brilliance

"Vostok is a lake lying below the Antarctic ice. On this CD Padilla evokes the kind of lonely solitude that one would expect in such a cold, isolated place. He develops his themes slowly, laying one melodic line upon another, and then slowly disassembles the music until he is back to the frozen, breathy ambient chords that started the piece. If you are a fan of Steve Roach, Robert Rich, John Serrie, or the more introspective works of Patrick O'Hearn, Jarre, and Tangerine Dream, then you MUST buy this album. It is an ambient new age masterpiece."
