CD Reviews

Two gems
styck | Middletown, Delaware United States | 10/31/2002
(5 out of 5 stars)

"I bought this single for the two songs " Blues run the game" and "Mercy". Both are worth the money. Im a die-hard fan of this band and own everything by them. And these two emotinally drenched cover-songs are a couple of the most inspired and beautiful works the crows have done. Ive listened to "Mercy" like 200 times now."
Unreleased B-Sides make these singles worth it!
E. Callaway | Grand Rapids, MI USA | 10/24/2002
(4 out of 5 stars)

"The title spells it out. The idea of the non-album B-side is just great. It is what makes me look forward to shopping the "import" bin for singles. The two unreleased B-sides, "Blues Run the Game, and "Mercy" are both pretty good, not great, but good. They are worth the money, but they did not fit the theme of the album. Adam Duritz is really big on the continuity of his records, so when a song doesn't fit the progression of the album, it becomes a B-side. This and the American Girls 1 are both must-haves for Counting Crows fans. epc"
More Good B-sides
C. Eason | West TN USA | 07/03/2002
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This single has two great B-sides, "Blues Runs the Game" and "Mercy." Good stuff, but no enhanced features like Single #1."
