CD ReviewsGreat cd for huge saxophone ensemble! 05/06/1999 (5 out of 5 stars) "Most of the pieces on this cd are for 11 or 18 saxophones--it's amazing how they got them all to be so precise--"Saxazione" consists of 18 saxophones, from bass to soprano saxes, though you would swear that there were sopraninos in there somewhere because they play so high. The concerto is a little dull, but the rest of the album is excellent in form and sound, and it's just fun becaue of the large numbers of saxophones involved."
