Not my kind of 'dramatic electronic music'

"Being quite fond of Berlin school ambient (the likes of Tangerine Dream and Klaus Schulze) I thought 00/44 would go along similar lines. In some ways, it does. However, I was still quite disappointed. The record mainly consists of very random, slowly progressing synthesizer sounds and notes which supposedly sound 'eerie' and 'dramatic'. It does not have any chord progressions nor arpeggios, like most of the other Berlin School records have - just eerie notes with eerie, dissonant intervals. As there is basically no structure, the music should be very ambient in nature. Unfortunately it was not the type of ambient I was looking for (invigorating or relaxing). Rather, this is a somewhat upsetting, chaotic record, and not meant for everyone. If you enjoyed Vangelis's 'Invisible Connections' (another record I rejected for similar reasons), you might enjoy this one too."
