Synopsis

Album Description
2009 collection from the Big Band/Pop vocalist. Often appearing next to Frank Sinatra while with the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra during the early '40s, Connie Haines delivered several of Dorsey's chart hits and recorded on her own during the '50s and '60s. Beginning in 1940, Haines, Sinatra, and the later addition of the Pied Pipers made Dorsey's one of the strongest bands from a pop standpoint, and Haines appeared on several hits: "Two Dreams Met," "Oh, Look at Me Now," "Kiss the Boys Goodbye," and "What Is This Thing Called Love?" 25 tracks. Bygone Days.

CD Reviews

GREAT COLLECTION!
P. Wolske | 06/09/2009
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This 25 track collection starts out with 9 tracks as a vocalist with Tommy Dorsey (4 duets with Frank Sinatra) 1940-1942. The rest are solo tracks from 1949-1953. Most of these tracks have never been on CD.

Included is a booklet with her biography and a discography of all the tracks.

Bygone Days is a new label from England, and I have just recieved 3 of their CDs. Sound quality on all is excelent, and for less than nine bucks, it's the best bargain I've ever seen."
