"This is the album that helped me discover my Indian roots in an era of globalisation. Western sounds with a quintessentially Indian soul, thanks to Hariharan's carnatic vocals. Thanks, Colonial Cousins, for helping me overcome my identity crisis. The album deserves 10 stars!"

"I've heard this album the first time in India in 1997. This unusual and very beautiful composition immediately got my attention. The melodious Indian singing is very soothing and sensitive. Absolutely lovely, I cannot help but being deeply touched by it. I've been listening to this album a lot over the past 7 years. One of the song on it is even on the list of my all time top favorites: Krishna. Absolutely great!"

"Got a tape sended by a very good Indian friend and when I did listen to it, I was completely overwhelmed by the sound of their music and voices. From that time on I'm listening to it a few times a day, and still can't get enough of it.Already bought 2 cd's of them and they both are absolutely fabulous!"

"We LOVE the Colonial Cousins! We first heard their music while dining at the Tea Room at Tamarind restaurant in New York City, and it was so striking that we asked our waiter what we were listening to -- as we'd never heard anything like it. He told us, and we tracked down a copy of the CD. We can hardly take it off our CD player at home! This is music for the New Millennium -- music that reflects a fusion of musical styles, much as cuisines today are also melding into new fusion creations. It's the most delicious new sound we've heard coming out of our speakers in a long time!..."
