Synopsis

Product Description
The eponymous debut from one of the Midwest's strongest acts, Clovis Mann's first album combines elements of rock and blues to create their own, original, musical statement--a statement of redemption and perseverance through human struggle. A very powerful album that succeeds and excels at being genuine, honest, and soulful, the true musical message from three small-town Wisconsin men. Highlighted by impressive instrumentation and strong lyricism that echo the best works of Hendrix, Cream, and Mountain, Clovis Mann creates a product that is new yet familiar--in essence, timeless. A must-have.

CD Reviews

Wow!
Jon Key | Chicog, WI | 07/02/2007
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Hendrixian, Claptonian, awesome, a stellar debut from a band I have been fortunate enough to see live. The interaction between the instruments is jaw-dropping--the bass player and guitar player play double leads like the best of Cream and Mountain, and the drummer sounds like a jack rabbit shooting a machine gun. Stone Moses is a great leadoff man, and War Child really pushes it. It really is a "a product that is new yet familiar--in essence, timeless.""
Suckled on the teats of Lady Satan

(5 out of 5 stars)

"In a world full of distortion, Clovis Mann rings out clear through the din. Whereas lots of modern rock groups bleat like soulless fuzz-toned boneless sheep, Clovis Mann pounds out something meaningful and refreshing. In an industry full of cookie cutter pop songs and brainless lowest common denominator cliches, Clovis Mann offers a ray of hope for the future by reaching back to rock's angry past. Music about the working man, about the wrong side of the tracks: their music rumbles with the power of a fully loaded freight train over a penny on the track.

Clovis Mann is real. There is no pretentious preening or posturing. These guys have gotten their lumps and earned their right to play the blues."
