CD ReviewsGood introduction to Rossini Philly Gal | Philadelphia, PA USA | 03/15/2007 (5 out of 5 stars) "This is a typically good quality MADACY MUSIC GROUP (Canada) CD - a remastering of original recordings released by Mediaphon (Stuttgart, Germany). The overtures of The Barber of Seville & William Tell are probably the most recognizable of Rossini's opera works, and both pieces are treated with full honors by the orchestras. The final set pieces are opera highlights from WILLIAM TELL. The full, serene voices of soprano of Irene Jaumillet and bass Jean Bortheyre place this rendition among the best! There is nothing disappointing whatsoever about this CD - you will never tire of listening to it!"
