CD Reviews

WOW THE METALCORE MADNESS!!!!!
Wade H. Rice III | Alexandria, VA USA | 01/30/2006
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This CD is simply said, "awesome". The breakdowns are absolutely ridiculous. I saw these guys with As I Lay Dying and Unearth, and decided to buy their CD at the show. By the way they put on a great set. The place went crazy. The purchase was well worth it. I put the CD in on the trip back and by the opening breakdown of the first track, I knew it was a great CD. This CD can be listened to from start to end and the blows that the breakdowns bring you will continue to blow you away. I don't think there are too many bands that have such a consistent amount of double bass in their breakdowns as this band. I'm loving it. Buy this CD if you like metalcore, it will blow you away."
Breaking Faces, Not Hearts. Guaranteed.

"The Classic Struggle, even though they may not be the most original band out there, is a very powerful and dynamic metal band. And NO, this CD isn't all breakdowns, and the band isn't hardcore. Just wanted to correct the mind of those three mislead and ignorant 1-star reviewers.

This band has some talented members, and true, they have breakdowns, but mix them in with the music and not sound sloppy. The guitar work is not all that original, but if you're a true fan, you wouldn't care.

I don't have much else to say, other than to check this album out if you're a fan of bands like Glass Casket, Through The Eyes of the Dead, The Red Death, Dead To Fall, etc. Basically, if you're a fan of TRUE metalcore, you'll enjoy this."
Alive in the Underground

"This was definately in my top 5 of album releases for last year. This cd is phenominal I can't even begin too speak of it. This band is one of the most influential bands too be spawned from MetalBlade in the past 10 years. Many people have knocked on it so much about "ewww, it has too many breakdowns" what you people don't understand is that this band is a LIVE ORIENTED BAND which means that their shows a freakin' brutal!!!!! Mosh's everywhere, I know I live in SC and saw them twice. They're also cool people too hang with. Great, great album, but they could have done without so many breakdowns. Pick up this album!!!! Long live the Underground!!!"
