"Clara Ward will always be remembered as the "Queen of the Moaners" On this CD she sings with the power and vitality she always had. "Only a Visit", and "The ways of the Lord" are my favorites. I really like this cd."

"Someone bought me this CD as a gift. I truly enjoyed it. There are 2 songs on this CD that I feel are the highlights of all the tracks. The songs that I'm speaking of are "Silver Wings" and "I Found The Keys To The Kingdom." But I, along with other people have noticed that "Silver Wings" and "You'll Never Walk Alone" both sound like Christmas songs. There's nothing wrong with it, but, at one point when I first heard "You'll Never Walk Alone" on this CD, I thought it was "O Holy Night." But over all, this was a very nice CD and it is a MUST HAVE!!!!"

"Please see my review of the album ' Somebody Greater Than You & I' This is a compilation of the DOT recordings in the studio and at New York's Town Hall after Clara Ward's appearance at the 1957 Newport Jazz Festival in Newport, Rhode Island. This is a superior release, but why not put the studio recordings on a separate release from the live recordings? rvandermeer@msn.com"
