Clannad's particular mix of Celtic, pop, and ambient styles is in fine form on this album, with no lapses in performance. They're as smooth as ever, and they should be after so many years together. While their more pop-oriented songs, such as "Court to Love" and "The Golden Ball," are pretty but unexceptional, Clannad really shines on the more traditional songs. These include the fast-paced, heavily rhythmic "A Mhuirnín Ó," the sorrowful "The Bridge of Tears," and the smooth, relaxed "An Gleann," which is the most successful blend of pop and traditional styles on the album. Máire Brennan's voice has never been more beautiful or controlled, and Landmarks is a fine effort all around. --Genevieve Williams

"One of my favorite albums. Wonderful, emotional blend of voices and instruments. I continue to be impressed by Clannad's exceptional, diversified musical talents: keyboards, string instruments, wind instruments - all employed with a gifted understanding of balance. The tracks complement each other, as they blend perfectly from one to the next. This album would make a friend of Clannad to anyone."
For everyone who loves good music!

"Clannad is a genuine Irish band, well known for their haunting music that is a mix of traditional Irish and modern pop and jazz styles. (As a footnote, the popular singer Enya got her start with Clannad!) The music itself is hard to categorize - would you like to call it New Age, or Easy Listening? Well, it's sort of both, and really neither. This is great music, relaxing and thoughtful, almost religious in tone.I love this album, and enjoy playing it just about all the time. I highly recommend it to everyone who loves good music!"
