"Unfortunately because of the wrongly given title to this CD of
FASIL [which is really a concert of mainly vocal Turkish Classical Music in a predominant makam going from slow to faster tempoed compositions performed by several singers & instrumentalists]this album's content has not been properly located or evaluated.
This is a CD of the famous classical Turkish music composer, solo singer & oud player CINUCEN TANRIKORUR (1938- 2000) singing & playing his own compositions accompanied by the young virtuoso tanbur & ney player Murat S. Tokac & percussionist Fahreddin Yarkin. This is the same artist which received great reviews & sold out in the CINUCEN TANRIKORUR- TURQUIE album of the Ocora Series and was produced 11 years later in Belgium when this trio was on a concert tour there. On the album there are some mystical Sufi music & hymns composed by Tanrikorur accompanied by the ney (reed-flute) & bendir as well as instrumental & other vocal compositions.
For those who are interested in TANRIKORUR, the Classical Turkish oud, & Sufi Music tradition these are some fine examples of his singing, oud playing as well as rare informal ensemble instumental playing of oud, tanbur bendir/kudum and taksims."
