Synopsis

Product Description
The evening chorus of frogs, toads, and peepers on Cape Cod is seen not so much as a sign of spring, there hardly is any, but more the welcoming of summer. Windows and sliders are thrown open for the first time, moonlight walks and lawn games take their place in the day, and the vernal ponds are brimming with the rains of April. This 102 minute stereo recording was made in South Chatham, Massachusetts with no artificial sound, music, or looping. Sound recordist Christopher Seufert runs Mooncusser Films, LLC, an independent film and video production company specializing in documentaries, educational programs, music video, and promotional projects. In addition to projects of his own design, the he has also been lucky enough to work all over the world with a great variety of people, including journalist Walter Cronkite, musician Suzanne Vega, the late illustrator Edward Gorey, actress Julie Harris, and filmmaker Al Maysles.

CD Reviews

Hope Springs Eternal

"I love this cd. I love those melodous Spring Peepers.....gently chorusing with the song, their gentle, delicate song....that winter is over.

They are so peaceful to sit and listen to or to lie down and close you eyes as you let the gentle serenade of Peepers song envelope you.

Recommend it 100%! I listen to it, usually at bedtime, but at least once a day.....very relaxing!

Everyone home needs one!"

"This is a wonderful, soothing CD of gentle night calls. The peepers are just getting started, so I think this was probably recorded in early evening. One suggestion: I hope the recording company will make a second CD of peepers in "full orchestra.""
