CD Reviews

Fabulous!

"Ce mec est incroyable!

This guy is incredible. He has the voice of an angel. At first, if you are caught unawares, you would mistake his voice for that of a female. However, if you listen to him, you are almost instantly transfixed by the beauty and range of this talented singer, that you soon forget everything else.

I have long loved French music. There is something about french pop, R&B, Rap, etc, that the younger French generation have taken and made their own. I am forever disappointed that Americans are so underexposed to the music of other countries, and can only say that millions don't know what they're missing. Thank God for Amazon which helps me track down the latest stuff.

Christophe was a competitor on the French version of American Idol, called Nouvelle Star and was immensely popular. You can do an internet search of him for more information on his life.

Let me just say that the entire CD is fabulous. I usually just find one or two songs that I like, but I was amazed that every song I heard was wonderful. The other thing I liked is that no two songs were alike. I have thrown out whole CDs because of this.

To address my favorites:

"Jacques a dit" -Sung in the most beautiful voice and very moving. There are two versions, both great.

"Double je?" -Fabulous dance song. But again, what a voice! This guy can hit some serious notes! Two versions as well, but great.

"Le Lycee" -Again, different from the others but fun and catchy. His voice is different sounding here as well.

And I can go on, but you need to buy this. Live a little... Feel French for a bit!"
