Synopsis

Product Description
In 1992 Christine Albert gathered some of the finest musicians in Austin, Texas, put guitarist Mitch Watkins (Lyle Lovett, Leonard Cohen, Jerry Jeff Walker) in the producer's chair and created her own musical genre that has been called 'a waltz across Texas with Maurice Chevalier'. With a grandmother from Paris and deep Texas musical roots, Christine's pure, country-folk vocal is the common thread as Texafrance gracefully moves between languages and styles - from swing to Cajun to Parisian chanson. French and English weave in and out of classic Edith Piaf songs La Vie En Rose, No Regrets and Hymn To Love, while the Everly Brothers' Let It Be Me - originally a French song - is transformed by the delicate mandolin of Paul Glasse and Christine's intimate vocal.
