A Beautiful Fighter

"Through tough times, Christina Aguilera has proved that she can be anything she wants, and she defies it easily and almost readily. With her raunchy single 'Dirrty' being a hated or loved track, to 'Beautiful' quite possibly one of the best ballads I've heard, and now to her latest single 'Fighter' an empowering rock-influenced track that shows that she's a fighter, and she's not going to give anything up just yet. The single although meager in tracks, is sufficient in the quality of songs. 'Fighter' as stated above, it is a strong and empowering track, with its obvious rock-influences. Although it's good in my opinion, I wouldn't say it's catchy nor attention-grabbing. For those looking for something like that, look somewhere else as this song has to grow on you. Strangely enough, I never though remixes would be commissioned for this single. But I guess I was wrong. The Freelance Hellraiser remix takes the song onto a different level, although it's by far not the normal dance remix. Unique is one word to describe it, but you would have to hear it order to get the real feeling of it. And the remix that makes this whole single worth it was the previously un-released Valentin Club Mix of 'Beautiful.' The Valentin Club Mix is a trance eurodance-influenced track that makes the song into a dance anthem. The highlight of a club. In addition, it creates a different uplifting mood for the song that is fitting with the lyrics. DJs and music critics would probably say that the vocals and instruments are off-key and mis-aligned, but I would say that most people would ignore this and enjoy the song for its music and emotional feeling. This release is the UK release, which fortunately has the correct remix for 'Beautiful.' There is an Australian import available here on amazon.com but that has a mislabled remix of Beautiful.Overall, the single is only for hardcore Christina fans. Most casual listeners would probably enjoy her album 'Stripped' more as it is more songs for your buck. Of course, if you like the song enough, it is definitely worth it. But I'll leave you to decide whether or not it's a good buy."

"With Christina being my favorite female singer, it's no wonder I love her hit singles! But that isn't the only reason I love this album. The first track--"Fighter (original verion)"--is an upbeat song with a lot of heart and soul put into it, and you can tell she means what she sings.Fighter (original version)-5/5
Fighter (freelance hellraiser)-5/5
Beautiful (Valentin mix)-5/5
AVERAGE RATING-5/5"
Yet another great Christina song

"Everyone knew she knew how to sing pop music and pull it off. Now she proves she can do the same with rock music. Even if you regularly listen to Linkin Park or Marilyn Manson type music, I think you'll enjoy "Fighter". Besides that, her lyrics prove that one can suffer greatly in life, heal from it, and become stronger in the end. Her deep emotion proves that she knows that experience firsthand. You must also get the CD "Stripped", which contains this track. I have not been able to stop listening to it since the day I got it, November. I think you'll react the same way."
