"Edinger's rendering of these works is incredible, and absolutely moving. She plays with intense emotion and great skill, and while the Penguin Guide criticized another recording for not "feeling as though difficulties were being surmounted," one can certainly NOT say that about Edinger. The music, the most difficult ever written for solo violin (or solo anything, for that matter), comes out of Edinger as though it were the last thing she was playing on earth. The monumental C major Fuga is pristine and accurate, and the final cadence is infinitely rewarding. Edinger's reading of the Ciaconna, however, is worth the entire disc. The arpeggiations that form up part of the first d minor section of the Ciaconna are expertly rendered, while her mastery of the many chords and double-stops in the movement is impeccable. The d major section of the Ciaconna is the high point of the entire disc, and the final set of cadences before it moves back to minor brought me to tears. Edinger plays with a conviction unmatched anywhere else. For emotion, depth, and not the least of all, virtuosity, this is the ticket!"

"I got both these Edinger Bach Sonatas and Partitas for solo violin from Amadis for $2.98 each before Naxos had the same ones for twice that (still an excellent price). These recordings are breath-takingly pure and bright. Edinger is an expert. Maybe not the dew drop of my soul (?)but, well, awfully good. I am just giddy I only paid $2.98 each - the DEAL of the CENTURY!"

"This is thr real music of my soul finaly I encounter.
Amati--the violin she plays--is so fresh like dew drop yet so powerful to flush through my body and soul.
I literary can not listen to any other violinist play these Sonata and Partita, except Andrew Manze(his recording is a different kind).
I am delighted and sad becouse there are'nt many things like this in the world."
