CD ReviewsChris Tyle's Silver Leaf Jazz Band Strikes Again! Tim Onasch | 10/18/2000 (5 out of 5 stars) "Of all the Chris Tyle CD's currently available through amazon.com, this is truly the best. I've heard the band play at the Can-Can Jazz Cafe on Bourbon St. for 2 years in a row (French Quarter Festival of 1999 and 2000), and they're one of the most authentic-sounding Dixieland bands currently playing this genre of music. This CD captures the essence of one of the early greats, Joe "King" Oliver. I'm sure he'd agree if he were alive today. Every cut is a winner! I also recommend another Silver Leaf Jazz Band CD that is not available (but should be!) through amazon.com: Streets and Scenes of New Orleans. Both of these are a "must" if you're into New Orleans jazz or are just getting into the sound. You won't be disappointed with either CD in your collection."
