Synopsis

Album Description
Coming from a background of playing in bands and club DJ'ing, Chris first rose to prominence as a DJ in the mid to late 1980's as one half of an acclaimed partnership with Gilles Peterson, DJ'ing at the legendary Doo at the Zoo parties with Pete Tong, Nicky Holloway, Bob Jones etc. With the birth of the Acid Jazz movement Chris's DJ' ing spread to places as diverse as Caister and Prestatyn Soul weekenders , Cafe del mar Ibiza, Faith Parties, V Festivals, Pacha and Fabric, sharing the bill with everyone from Carl Cox, Danny Rampling and Paul Oakenfold to Norman Jay and Patrick Forge. Chris took his unique slant on music into production and writing and met with immediate success working with Paul Weller, Galliano, Courtney Pine, Sharon Redd, Roy Ayers, Linda Clifford and Acid Jazz records plus his own productions including collaborations with Style Councillor Mick Talbot and House legend Terry Farley with releases on Sony, Talking Loud, Junior Boys Own, Azuli etc. Chris has also been heavily involved in the production music scene with many releases through BMG / ZOMBA in everything from European Arthouse Films, Lager and Macdonalds TV Adverts to Bargain Hunt and beyond. His many years diverse experience dealing face to face with musicians as a producer, as well as running indie record labels, distribution and licensing plus a solid understanding of internet and New Media puts him in a great place to help develop new relationships between music, publishing, media and brands.
