The Chopper City Boyz is a New Orleans-based rap group formed in 2003 consisting of B.G, B.G.'s younger brother Hakizzle aka Hakim, Gar and Sniper. The group had been featured on all of B.G.'s solo albums as well as several mixtapes. The group released their debut album with B.G. titled We Got This in 2007, spawning the hit single, Make 'Em Mad, which was produced by David Banner. The group did exceptionally well selling 27,000 copies, debuting at number 20 on the Billboard 200, in additon to hitting #1 on the Top Independent Albums chart, eventually breaking the 100,000 unit mark. Their new album, Block Music, is more of the same: hot rhymes over hot beats. "The Chopper City Boyz are the next step in the Chopper City movement," says B.G. "Since the breakup of my super group, The Hot Boyz, there's been a lack of talented real Hip Hop groups from the south. The Chopper City Boyz are gonna change all that."
