Gordon | San Francisco, CA United States | 09/10/2000 (5 out of 5 stars) "The Gada Meilin is a beautifully played symphonic poem which is full of lyric light. The theme is based on the eponomous national hero of Mongolia, where the composer lived during the Chinese Cultural Revolution. The story says Gada Meilin lead an uprising against a tyrannical warload, but died in the process. The Eastern European symphony communicates all the pathos of the hero's struggle with great beauty. This 17 minute piece is the best of the CD and well worth hearing. You can just start to hear the theme at the very end of the sample (track 1)."
