More electronic than later efforts, like the equally good "Flaunt the Imperfection," it holds up well. It has a sound that can only be described as vintage early '80s, but it doesn't sound particularly dated. China Crisis mastered the art of using technology appropriately to match their lyrical sensibility. I find myself putting this on a lot, 23 years after its release."
