"Chase Phoenix is a very good rapper, that said not everyone has a solid debut album. There are definitely some hits and some misses with this one. The song 'A Thousand Apologies' stands as some of the dopest underground rap i've heard in a while, along with 'Twenty Something' and 'Secret Agents feat. aesop rock' (and that's something considering mostly I have been listening to almost only underground hip-hop for the past 2 years).



Granted those tracks and a couple others are ill (Most People Know, In Crowd, Thought Wrong, Patience, -some other good ones) hearing how incredible the first few songs I mentioned earlier in the review were... some of the "misses" on the album could definitely be much better.



There's production by Dub-L, Blockhead, and Baby Dayliner who are all great, If you like a lot of Def Jux artists then you'll probably really like some Chase P.



If you don't feel like copping the whole album, I'd still recommend buying a few mp3's cause it's worth it. Trust me you won't find any of this for free with any P2P sharing programs and it's always good to support the artist.
