The ultimate rockabilly god!

"Move over Elvis, seriously. A lot of people credit Elvis and "Sun" as the force behind rockabilly, but Charlie Feathers was right there to make it happen, organizing many sessions there, and working with the greats, including Elvis and Cash. This stuff is gold, and the liner notes alone are worth the purchase price. Charlie gives a rundown on how he got that sound, how the scene developed etc., and the tracks are just a bonus! This CD will always have a reserved spot in my changer.
Not the most Feathers recordings in one place, but some of the best."

"I am a huge Charlie Feathers fan so I am unhappy to say that this album, for me, falls short of his classic early performances.
In my opinion, these recordings sound weak especially in comparison to Charlie Feathers original work with Sun and Meteor. The songs don't have a strong bounce beat and the vocals are just so-so.
The songs sound like they were recorded well-after the heyday of rockabilly. The guitar work is nearly inaudible and the songs don't seem tight and joyful like the best work of Charlie Feathers.
Listen to the samples and see what you think before you buy.
I wanted to love this album, but I would be telling a fib to say I did."
