"I love the work of Charles Brown, and I find his singing voice and style truly a work of art in jazz. His piano work can also be stunning when he pulls out all the stops. His "One More For The Road" became one of my favorite records. This CD is a bit different. You don't hear that impressive piano work that Brown is famous for; instead, you hear him play some organ to back the songs. His organ is more of a backing for the songs rather than main attraction, like it is when he plays the piano. His singing is still beautiful and songs are soulful and classy. If you are a fan of Charles Brown, like I am, you will still enjoy and appreciate it. If you're looking for a good intro, pass on this one and get "One More For The Road" or "Just A Lucky So and So"."
