Exceptional Country Edged Alternative, stunning first effort

"Rarely do you stumble across such a solid and consistent first album. Kicking off with the "Sky is Big Here" Chance firmly establishes their roots with dynamic sound and witty lyrics. Much like their musical forefathers the BoDeans, Chance the Gardner may never receive the critical acclaim which they so deserve. Let's hope they get another opportunity to lay down tracks. If you like Train, Drivin and Cryin, early REM, BoDeans, Whiskeytown, Son Volt, Wilco etc, then tune in to this real treat."
