"One of the best crossover albums of the 70s. It showed that "folk" musicians were playing jazz and doing a damn good job of it. Listen to Jerry Garcia. Listen to Chet Atkins. Listen to Merle Travis, Bob Wills, Jimmy Rodgers. Hell, Be Bop started in Kansas City with Charley Christian and Lester young. It's a shame that this music went the way of the buggy whip. It's a lot more interesting that the pap that's shoved down the throat of the average radio listener. It's hard to find a venue(bar) that will let you play this music but I still manage to do it once a month or so. If you like great music played by great musicians then this album is for you . . . if you can find it."
