"This is a CD I return to again and again. I like its totality of scope, as most CDs concentrate in one of the many areas of the British Isles represented. There is also both sacred and secular music, and music from many religious traditions, not just Anglican or Roman Catholic or Presbyterian or whatever. The songs are sung in the original language, with translation provided. Without a doubt, the best "cut" is 14, "Arise and Hail the Glorious Star," and those familiar with "shape note singing " can hear the precursors in this Cornish carol. Again, without a doubt, the "least good" is 15, "The Seven Rejoices of Mary," only because this particular version natters on and on."
