This CD clearly shows that Carlos Garnett is one of the giants of this idiom. Moon Shadow is his latest and best effort to date. This CD not only shows Carlos as a great musican but as a great arranger as well. The use of other horns and homage to his Panamanian roots makes this an outstanding CD. My favorite cut is the classic "My Favorite Things". This is Carlos at his best as a unique player with his own sound and a great arranger. This CD could have been titled, Carlos Garnett plays Carlos Garnett. This is truly a 5 star CD and a must for anyone's collection."
