"Charlie Murphy was one of the best songwriters of the 80's. Pagans were lucky to claim him as one of their own. His collaboration with Jamie Seiber (a wizard on the cello) and the light rock band "Rumours of the Big Wave" creates an album full of life, spirit, meaning, and great dance-able music. Unlike so many Pagan albums, the quality of the album doesn't end with the lyrics. Charlie's voice is excellent. Mellow and on pitch. The musical backup is professional. And, of course, Jamie is a spectacular musician. Many of the chants from this and his other album (Burning Times) have entered the common knowledge of Paganism: "Light is Returning", "Blood of the Ancients" and the chilling "Burning times" with it's familiar "Isis, Astarte" chant/chorus.

This is worth a re-release. Barring that, try to find a copy for yourself, and revel in the excellent songwriting and performance."
