Canned Heat, one of the founding names of US heavy blues rock, was formed in 1965 by Al 'Blind Owl' Wilson and Bob 'The Bear' Hite. Before hitting the charts in 1968 with their version of Jim Oden's 'On The Road Again', here is how they sounded in 1966 when music giant Johnny Otis produced their first recordings.
