Good Stuff

"Calobo happens to be from Portland, and as a result I have had the pleasure of seeing them live and getting a taste of what they had to offer before I bought any of their albums. If you like a band like Dave Matthews you will like this album. They mix the incredible vocals of Andrews and Klauder with a nice compliment of the female vocalist, Van Kleef. The combination is beautiful. I am no musical expert, but the funky accoustic guitar that is prominent throughout the album, coupled with piano and a good bass player, along with the great vocals makes for a damn good record. The songs are catchy and they make you feel good. If you have an appreciation for a nice array of instruments and a mixture of good vocals, try this one out. You will enjoy. It is much better than a lot of the stuff that gets radio play, the band just hasn't been exposed to pop/rock stations. For those of you that are not on the west coast, you can buy it, play it, have your friends hear it and say that you were the first one to hear about Calobo. You will like it."

"I spent a couple years at OSU on the West Coast and was introduced to Calobo. Calobo is a great band with two great vocal artists. I listen to this CD often and never get bored of it. If you like chill out music -Rusted Root, Bob Marley, and GD - give this a try."

"My long lost best friend from West Linn Oregon introduced me to Calobo in 1995. I made a tape off of her CD and played the tape so much that it faded. My friend always said that she thought Calobo would make it big, and I felt the same way. I found that tape the other day and remembered that on Amazon.com I had found many cd's that you can't find anywhere. I can't believe I found Calobo. This CD is wonderful. Whoever buys it will be very happy. I am so happy that Amazon.com helped me find it!"
