CD Reviews

...the journey of noise...
OMNIGOSS | UK | 06/09/2008
(5 out of 5 stars)

"...I'm not aware of these people's work separately and probably never will be...but this album is just stunningly dark and atmospheric you will literally be sucked into a land you only find when you feel that you've achieved parinibbana (I'm not Buddhist so don't bring that one on me)...

...the title of each track is the time of the track all developed with dark instrumentals in an echoed and awkwardly accousticed room that sound like is slowly being filled with a dark thick water that reaches your ears and sucks you into a moros world of happy pain...

...the point of the instrumentals is to be atmospheric...if you expect any catchy hooks in the slightest or have been mislead to think so...leave now...the main instruments used are a bass and a guitar...the guitar throughout the piece goes from accoustic...to such a large amount of distortion that it plagues your ears through the echoes of this dark and murky room...the use of the voice is merely to add to the texture in a way a voice only can...to sound inhuman...to sound out of place...to sound like it has been tortured so much...it is merely a voice...the leftover shadow of the being it once was becoming... now one with the omni-mallevolent darkness...beating away...

...I would advise you to buy this if you wish to fill an empty room with sound and allow your mind to be infested with the thoughts of these peoples world...in the room...their room...where every bit of time is a title...and every sound is an instrument...

P.S. Don't buy if you are scared of feeling uncomfortable...sleeping on a bed of spikes would be kinder...at least it would be more straightforward..."
